The Lita & Trish Stratus Rivalry will go down as one of the most important women’s wrestling feuds of the modern era. With both women now WWE Hall Of Famers, it’s only fair that we cover these two fantastic athletes long and intertwined road through the Attitude Era.

The WWE Royal Rumble Party Game

See this boxset? I used it for years as a gateway drug to get my friends interested in wrestling again. I would host parties in my apartment every few months and teach people a simple drinking game. The rules are as follows:

  1. Print up this pdf file (or something similar) and cut up the number cards for distribution.
  2. Before watching any matches, have each partygoer write down a challenge on the back of the card.
    Sample challenges:
    – If your wrestler is eliminated, call up an ex-girl/boyfriend.
    – Do pushups / situps / squats / DDP Yoga moves.
    – Trade cards or wrestlers
    – Whatever else comes to mind! These can be as silly, fun, mean, or ridiculous as you want them to be.
  3. Randomly pick a Royal Rumble match. Be aware that 1988 only has 20 entrants, and 2011 has 40! You can come up with a work-around for those years or skip them entirely.
  4. Play your selected Royal Rumble match from the links below!
  5. As each entrant comes out, the partygoer with that number must write his wrestler’s name on the card.
  6. If a wrestler is eliminated, the person holding the eliminated wrestler’s card must complete the challenge written on the back of the eliminating wrestler’s card.
  7. If the person whose wrestler was eliminated doesn’t want to complete the challenge, they must take a shot from the punishment bottle. We had a bucket full of cheap terrible mini-shots that we rounded up from the worst liquor store in town.
  8. Once you’ve started, put someone in charge of being the final say for who was eliminated by whom. We usually agreed that the last person to touch someone before they were eliminated was the person whose challenge was to be taken.
  9. GET CRAZY!!!!

WWE/WCW Chronology : 1996 (The Monday Night Wars)

As we head into 1996, the Monday Night Wars get serious with the onset of the NWO storyline and the dominance of Monday Nitro. WWF began to make headway with the emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin at King Of The Ring and the arrival of names that would become huge stars in the years to come.

I will be updating this post over the next few weeks as more episodes get added to the Network.
